Colin Marshall

Colin MarshallColin Marshall brings over 30 years of expertise in oil and gas to his courses. A clear and engaging communicator, he encourages an open and interactive approach to his workshops and case studies, and enjoys having his own views challenged. Originally a Geophysicist, he worked initially as an operational Petroleum Engineer before moving into upstream commercial roles. As someone whose career has included technical operational positions as well as corporate and commercial roles, he has first-hand experience of what’s needed to develop a successful management career in E&P – insights that he uses to great effect in the 3 Day MBA courses.

His specialties include strategic planning, economics, business development and negotiations, joint venture management, LNG, unitizations, and reserves management. He has worked for a number of blue-chip companies including BP, Hess, Salamander, Talisman, Murphy and Medco. He has spent many years in the SE Asian market, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, as well as postings elsewhere in Abu Dhabi, Holland and Norway.

He holds a degree in Geophysical Sciences from Southampton University.
