Leadership in Global Energy

This 3 day Leadership in Global Energy course looks at the key principles of managing high performing teams in the complex world of energy, for those taking on new functional regional, or staff responsibilities.

Why attend this course?

This is a new course from Warren Business Consulting, developed in response to requests from those who have attended our MBA in Oil & Gas courses and are taking on new responsibilities. Our own research has shown that for many professionals in the industry, there is a lack of leadership, which shows through in a lack of innovation, an unwillingness to change and a lack of long term strategic planning.  With challenging market conditions, new technologies disrupting markets and business models and the impact of the “Great Crew Change”, this is a difficult time to take on leadership roles in the energy business. It’s all the more important therefore to understand the core principles of good leadership and how to apply them in our sector.

Yanos Michopoulos, the Course Director, brings 25+ years of leadership experience in oil and gas, renewables and infrastructure to this programme, which focuses on the transition from using hard skills, as a manager – planning, budgeting, organising and operating – to soft skills, as a leader, for driving change, setting direction and inspiring high performance.

Who should attend?

The programme is aimed at oil and gas professionals who have recently taken on managing teams of people or are about to do so, especially those taking responsibility for specialist functions beyond their own, or those managing in a Matrix Management style organisation.
