Frequently Asked Questions

All our programmes are highly regarded training courses rather than university certified degrees. An MBA degree programme would take many months or even years to complete and clearly this is not possible over 3 – 5 days. MBA is used in the course title because people get an immediate feel for what to expect: a fast paced, reasonably intense learning experience that combines elements of business practice and theory. Delegates leave the course with a clear understanding of the oil and gas business.

All delegates on our public and in-house training courses receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the programme.

We recognise that everyone’s learning preferences are unique. At the same time we aim to challenge and inspire you, and to help you solve your problems. Therefore all our programmes use a mixture of instructor presentations, class discussions, case studies, reading and delegate presentations. Our courses are highly interactive and structured to allow everyone a chance to ask their questions. Often there is significant experience amongst the delegates and it’s the course instructor’s role to facilitate the discussion so that we can learn from one another.

No. Never. We are very careful on all our programmes to create an environment that is risk free, where delegates feel safe to contribute. This enables deep learning.

All our programmes are business training courses with limited technical content. However, no previous business training is required attend. We will run through some economic principles, but no prior knowledge of economics is required.

Class size is strictly limited to 20 to allow for full participation by all.

For your investment in your training course you will receive tuition, course manual, and lunches and refreshments during the day. Delegates will need to cover accommodation, travel to and from the training venue and living expenses whilst away from their home base.

Well before the course begins we will send you detailed joining instructions. These outline what you need to bring (which is never more than a pocket calculator), course location and timings, and recommendations for where to stay. Often we are able to negotiate favourable delegate rates at the hotel hosting the training course. There is no strict dress code – most people choose business casual.

The easiest way to register is online, either here or by email to training@warrenbusinessconsulting.com, specifying the course you would like to attend. You can also call us on +44 203 239 0807, or write to us at Warren Business Consulting, New Bond House, 124 New Bond Street, London, W1S 1DX, U.K. Registration can only be confirmed when payment has been made.

A wide range of individuals attend our courses but they all have a common interest- to develop their careers by learning more about the oil and gas industry. Some may be at the beginning of their professional life, others may have many years of experience within a particular function. Because our courses are interactive, you will have the chance to build your own network and make new contacts within the industry.

The courses are designed to be highly interactive and you will get to know your fellow delegates through working with them on exercise and case studies, as well as socialising during breaks. We also maintain an alumni network on LinkedIn and host occasional events for alumni in selected cities.

We believe the testimonials from our clients provide a better answer to this than anything we might claim. But we try to make a difference through the quality of our teaching, the interactivity of the programmes and the community of successful alumni that we have built over the years.
