E&P Management and Leadership Programme in London

We welcomed delegates from Nigeria, U.K., Portugal and Azerbaijan to our 3 Day MBA in Oil and Gas training course in London in June. Angus Warren, Director of Warren Business Consulting, delivered the long-established course in new conference facilities in central London. As always, there was lively debate on the course.

There was a passionate discussion about the role of the Petroleum Regime in oil and gas countries globally, with the consensus being that governments must pay careful attention to their Petroleum Law and regulations to ensure that invesment is incentivised.

The “Gamblers’ Ruin” exercise simulating exploration success generated some interesting outcomes, with all teams ahead at the end of the game. The discussion turned to the human factors in decision making, especially the tolerance for risk when funds are low.

All in all, another successful course due in large part to the excellent contribution of our delegates.

My thanks to them all for their wonderful comments and valuable feedback:

“Next time when a drilling engineer talks about a project, I will be able to understand him much better.”

“It’s been very helpful and will help me to take better decisions at work.”
